I'd bow out now then and save yourself the heartache. As long as they don’t use any of the Discovery stuff, it should be good. I want the real Enterprise

You're going to want to turn around now and not look back then. This is certainly going to be a continuation of the Discovery design look and sensibilities. It's going to be the Discoprise and all the updated looks we got at it from the Short Treks. Hell the Discovery era Enterprise shows up in Picard and is one of the looks in the Emphriam and Dot Short Trek. That's the look going forward that will be pushed. Expect the similar filming techniques (as I assume like Discovery this is being done by the Canadian teams) and writing. The filming for Discovery and the Short Treks look different and I say better then what was done for Picard by the LA team. While this might be geared more toward exploration due to the setting I don't think this automatically means mission of the week episodic content either. As long as they don’t use any of the Discovery stuff, it should be good. Same. That's one of the things I'm most excited about. I love how Discovery looks from the ships to planets, etc and want to see more of those ship designs as well. This also potentially opens the door for them to do something with Prime Lorca if they ever want to revisit that. Same with Cornwell too since neither Discovery or Picard has issues with flashbacks. An added bonus: I'm glad all the 23rd Century elements from the first two seasons of DSC have somewhere to go.
Roberto Orci's not involved with anything Secret Hideout is doing with the Trek franchise. Kurtzman and Orci are no longer partners like they used to be (and considering Orci being a bit nuts, that's not a bad thing).I really hope it's got a different tone and feel from the other Orci/Kurtzman Star Trek shows. IMO I wouldn't like it very much if it's got that same "Shock value" tone Picard and Discovery had with people cursing and gratuitousness
Star Trek’s had its share of underwhelming pilots before. I’m not worried (yet)."Akiva Goldsman wrote the series premiere episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, based on a story he co-wrote with Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet."
I'm out.
I hope they go semi-episodic. I’m tired of long arcs that don’t deliver.

I read a site (It was a click bait site and I forgot what it was) saying that they were going to name the series Star Trek: Enterprise. My first thought was you can't name it Star Trek: Enterprise because there is already a series of that name. I'm glad they went with a different title and we don't have the same confusion to the TV series as we "kinda" have with the movies.
