I guess there's a degree of ambiguity as to if this was "the" mirror universe from TOS and DS9. Could have been a "Parallels" style branch off of it.

Also, they use that damned reverse Earth logo from Disco, which never appeared in TOS and DS9. Maybe it's the Disco season 1 mirror universe? Hehe...

This episode implies that they just rebuilt the Terran Empire after defeating the Alliance which is a shame. I prefer the novel version where they create the Commonwealth and they try to be better people than what they were before.

Janeway's Borg implant was first seen in STO, correct? They could've easily have left that out, so it's a nice touch to include it.

I wish we had seen more of the Enderprizians and Tuvix, but this was great.

I'm a little bummed the Tarren Empire went back to their evil ways though, considering how much the DS9 crew fought with them, but Jankom's "Even the Whales Are Evil?" might be my favorite line of the entire season.

They missed a trick of not having the Mirror's computer a male voice. I also liked that the ISS Voyager had the red markings, but I still think yellow is better. It pops out more.

I had trouble getting through the episode because I was laughing so much. Evil whales? Tuvix? Is Chakotay trying to fool Janeway?

A pretty classic take on the old MU saga.

The only thing that made me wonder is how the Terrans here fit into the fallen empire portrayed in DS9.

It could just be a different Mirror Universe where the empire didn't fall.

Or they're following what the IDW comics did, and have the Empire mostly collapsed, but not fully.
KCA propaganda says the empire the is gone, but they actually still hold a few core systems.
