I’ve always been confused why according to the Apple TV app the episode is out but if you go into the P+ app it isn’t. Granted Star Trek is the only show I watch right when it is released most of the time, but it seems like there is miscommunication between the two apps. Also I wish P+ overhauled it’s interface. It’s still bad.

Fuck yes. That made up for the mess of season 2. Now lets hope the rest of the season is as good.
Well that reveal was predictable. Pump action phaser rifle was odd, maybe needed overcharged phaser blasts? All the ship stuff was nice but felt video game quality. Didn't have the sense of scale from the old shows and movies. Still cool though. Music was on point, FC theme felt appropriate.

The shotgun pump action looks even weirder replaying it in slo-mo... first, this is what shoots, and she doesn't seem to even pull the trigger, but in the end, several pumps charge it up.

Damn, I'm not overwhelmed by the visual effects of the space ships. They do look nice, but very unfinished, especially the frikkin hero ship, the Titan-A. Looks more like cutscenes from a late 90's/early 00's Star Trek game honestly.
But I'm gladly pushing that aside for all the ship porn in the first episode alone.

In true TOS Movie fashion, he's Captain Asshole.
I love everything about this episode so far. So far, it's a bit better than PIC Season 1 and a lot better than PIC Season 2.
There's just enough of a TOS Movie look and feel. Any more would've been too much. This season very much has its own feel. But it's not completely 100% dissimilar to PIC Seasons 1 and 2. You can still tell it's the same show. Just a different feeling of the same show.
I really like the Titan.
Picard and Riker are killing it. Figuratively, not literally. They're great. So is Seven.
