"The last couple of episodes for this season are a big swing and I am really proud of them and I cannot wait for you to see them. We held them off [from the press] because I don’t even want a breath of what happens in them to get out. And it just feels like the ultimate Star Trek, the ultimate Lower Decks." - Mike McMahan

Let's see if some of those fan theories come to pass. Any direct tie-ins or developments involving "The First Duty" and "Lower Decks" would truly make this two-parter the ultimate Lower Decks.

We got a compelling set-up. Now for the follow-through.

Of course they won’t post this episode early. It’s probably the most anticipated episode of the season.

Holy crap, the Trynar

That is literally game changing tech, the fact that the Binars have that level of Shield technology is crazy, imagine the power requirements needed to cover the surface area of a Star System's outter borders with Shields.

Also, throwing massive objects at shields seems to really work, laws of physics & Kinetic Energy and all that.

Throwing a freaking BattleShip at a Trynar Star-System wide Shield that normal StarShips can't punch through
=D

TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN TEN!
I loved this episode SO MUCH! It had everything! Mariner's really starting to mature now.
And Locarno finally, finally got what he so richly deserved.
And Boimler was an acting captain with T'Lyn as his Number One.
Also more T'Lyn, and you know how much I love her. Word of god has it that she's going to be even more prominent next season. Gabrielle Ruiz as a regular, anyone?
I am also quite sure that Tendi's storyline is going to be quite interesting.

I want Boimler x T'Lyn as a couple.
