I don't think they captured the Pakled simple-speaking cadence, though.

I see multiple humorous possibilities.

1. The Pakleds are stupid (but as we know, the pakleds are smart)

2. Starfleet planned to send Admiral Janeway and told the Pakleds they were before deciding to send someone far less important.

3. It is the Pakleds being extremely passive aggressive (my vote).

Not a bad episode at all. Maybe it felt a little bit emotionally shallow compared with the last few, but it did have a good character arc for Boimler (proving he is not in fact a total suckup), and some further development for Tendi.

Didn't laugh at anything this week, but I don't expect gut-busters.

The part with the spy taking photos of his own foot and then temporarily blinding himself with a flash were the biggest laugh of the episode for me.

Thought it was just OK at first, but by the end I was chuckling quite a bit.
Gave it an 8.

The Pakleds know about Janeway cause they are very smart.

(also, they probably got the info from the parts and pieces of Star Fleet computer tech they've picked up and put into their ships)
