So what did you do for Halloween this year?

Bought some chocolates in case I got any "Trick or Treat"-ers. Put them carefully away...now can't find them!

It's a bit hit-and-miss whether we get anyone. So far none this year which is lucky because they are going to have to have oranges.

Watching "The Birds," while waiting for trick or treaters. So far, we've only had two. :(

I'm watching sports (Hockey/Football) and handing out candy. We haven't had any Trick Or Treaters yet, but it is not even dark outside.

Same. We don't really put much effort into it anymore because the numbers have really been hit and miss these last several years, even before Covid. We only had one person this year.

It's super weird because this neighbourhood used to be full of kids and we would always get lots, then about 10 years ago it all changed. They even built a new elementary school nearby about a year ago.

Hiding in a darkened house in California playing video games with a friend who lives in England. Ain't technology wonderful? :)

Sat in the rain at a high school football game. Zero rain for the entire month, and suddenly we get a lot of rain starting around 6pm, lasting until this morning. Not fun for us or those who went trick-or-treating. Of course, hardly any people at the game - last game of a losing season, on a Thursday, on Halloween, plus the rain. My son (on the football team) was soaked.

Over here, it would either be rain or snow. Very typical of snow on Halloween for us, and overall it's been the warmest October on record.

I was invited to a party at the last moment, and I only went because I was told my cousin Connie would be there (she's in the last stages of cancer). Anyway, I showed up, and there weren't a lot of kids coming by outside. A few minutes in, Connie did arrive, but she was incredibly thin, and sitting down even in a soft chair hurt her so badly, that she started crying and had to leave. It truly hurt me to see her that way, but I can't do anything to help except pray. I also can't stand how her selfish husband and daughter behave, so I went next door to another relative's house, and chatted with them for about an hour. :(

my little sister asked me to go trick or treating with her and my bf has never been so he came over!! then cuddled up and watched dr who with sweets!

Reminds me of when my nephews were a bit younger... I'd dress up in drag as a witch, and accompany them on their trips through the neighborhood. And I had two rules...
1. I didn't carry a bucket, but if offered candy at a house, I didn't refuse.
2. My sister paid me from her usually still full candy bowl afterwards.
3. If I saw a dog, I had to cackle and say "I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!"

I ignore that day as much as I can - it's not my kind of "holiday", so I sat at home and thought "Okay, if someone wants some treats, they'll get some - but otherwise It'd be fine, if one would leave me alone with that." I mean, in my part of the world - Germany - this whole Halloween-thing is pretty recent, if I'd need to guess, I'd say, not significantly older than 20 years.
