"Everybody Loves Raymond" Reunion special

Everybody Loves Raymond could return for a Friends: The Reunion-style one-off episode, possibly in 2026 to celebrate three decades since the first episode aired, creator Phil Rosenthal told NME.

“This year we’ve been off the air for 20 years,” said Rosenthal. “It’s a good time to do a reunion special, the way Friends did a reunion special [in 2021]. It wasn’t a reboot of Friends. It was: here they are now – talking about what it was like then… We can do that next year when we’ll have premiered 30 years ago. We’re talking to production companies right now. We want to do it.”

It'll be bittersweet, to be sure. All the grandparents and one of the children are dead.

When I watch ELR it doesn't seem as out of date as it actually is.

Do you have a favorite episode? I like "Robert's Lucky Suit" and "Robert's Rodeo". They actually filmed a video of Robert being chased by the bull instead of leaving it up to our imagination. Poor Robert.

Great show, I’m looking forward to the special.

As for favorite episodes, how about Marie’s Sculpture?

:lol:

I always wanted to see the crossover scene from the Becker episode in which John Becker, Hilton Lucas, Doug Heffernan and Ray Barone meet; it's not on any of the streaming, disc and non-broadcast versions. No idea if it is because of Bill Cosby's actions or if it something to do with money or rights of those four properties.

I'm not sure I'd want a reunion special. It would be one thing if it was just Doris Roberts and/or Peter Boyle gone, but with the way Sawyer Sweeten died, it may be too painful.

Choosing a favorite episode? That's hard to do.

They should have included all the other series' crossover episodes on the disc sets.

* Becker
* The Nanny
* The King of Queens

Am I missing any shows?

"Debra Makes Something Good" is a classic episode. The line from Frank "Anyone who can make braciole like this deserves a whole hillside full of heavenly scented marigolds and daffodils." gets me every time. Also the part when he makes a bath for Marie to distract her... Marie: "You haven't made me a bath in 15 years". Frank: "Uhhhh you seemed to need it."

I haven't seen that page before Laura, but find it funny that the description says Ray has "2 gamer girls".
