Possibly a holodeck-gone-wild version of the game?
Am I crazy for asking - given this is the final season and Paramount cutting costs/losing a lot of $$$, etc., what are the prospects of a Lower Decks MOVIE?
I would imagine the cost/potential profits for animation would exceed any live action efforts, although I also saw musings on some feed about re-visiting our Lower Decks crew in live action again, but can't recall what capacity (i.e. SNW crossover #2 or something else)

Shelby's only a Captain at this point, per her appearance in S2 of Lower Decks,
And it's Season 5 now so plenty of time for her to get promoted.
That much time hasn't gone by in universe. And even if she had gotten a promotion since her season 2 appearance, she'd likely be a Commodore right now.
This is the same universe where Seven went from a field commission to first officer and then captain in the canonical 3 months that take place between Picard Seaons 2 and 3 (Picard Season 2 has wine stamped 2401 meaning it takes place earliest Jan. 2401, and Frontier Day in S3 being said to be the 150th anniversary of Broken Bow puts it in April 2401)
Canonically, we only know she made Captain in the One Year Later epilogue. Yes, Tuvok revealed Shaw recommended her for promotion before that, but we don't see a fourth pip on her collar until the epilogue.
Fair enough. That said, Seven must have broken a lot of rules to establish herself as a rulebreaker in those 3 months under Shaw AND yet still enough of a positive impression to already recommend her for promotion just 3 months in.
It's probably a bad idea to use Picard S3 to prove anything. Matalas originally told Todd Stashwick the Titan was launched in 2402. The date it took place in was revised a lot before the season aired.
It really doesn't matter what Matalas and Stashwick said to each other, at the end of the day the only thing that matters canonically is what ends up on screen.
And what ends up on screen in one show can contradict what ends up on screen in another show.
