RTD's comments about the casting of the new Doctor debunk the notion that they've already started shooting the 60th Special and Series 14.

Was there any suggestion that they had started? All the rumors I've heard are that shooting starts in about a month.
Initial reports said filming would start in April; more recent reports seem to say late May, with some large-scale location work in early June (which might be what you’re thinking of). The production timeline may be in flux to some extent; one of the residents at the site of the location work was originally told it would happen in late May, then it slipped to early June. It’s also possible the news sources who report this stuff are getting garbled info about preproduction vs actual shooting, or that certain isolated bits of filming were done ahead of time for whatever reason.
A couple of posters were insisting that shooting started last month (April) without providing any actual proof.
Well God forbid anyone here would make definitive statements without actual proof.

I'm being slightly petty about this precisely because people constantly drag me for insisting on the validity of things that turn out to be wrong.
