I actually happened to catch an SVU rerun a few weeks ago (since I was stuck at a hospital with not much options on TV...) which featured her character. It was one I had seen before I quit watching, but I don't think I ever realized that was her full name.

She's actually very good on SVU. One of the few defense attorneys I actually enjoy watching (along with Jeri Ryan of course ).

Although I believe her character's name is a coincidence, in that it was before her appearance on DW. I'm fairly sure this is the case, anyway. Can anyone confirm?

Her first appearance on SVU was February 2009, which was after her first Doctor Who appearance (which was June 2008) but before we find out River is Amy and Rory's daughter. Indeed, Amy and Rory don't show up until April 2010 and we find out River is their daughter, along with learning her birth name was Melody Pond in June 2011.

So yes, coincidence.

One good sequence I could imagine would be for the TARDIS to be in main engineering aboard TOS Enterprise with cables running out of it to the consoles.

Enterprise is trapped in an asteroid somehow, and then you see the upper and lower sensor domes go on and off like the light atop the call box—and Enterprise herself dematerializes…
