Resolutions Line-by-Line

Hello, Welcome!

We recently completed Context is for Kings thread in the DISC forum!

For anyone unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes (like the Dominion Occupation Arc on DS9 or the Xindi Arc on ENT), each episode is a separate thread.

EMH: Sickbay to the Captain. This is the Doctor speaking.

 

[CaptVader]

JANEWAY: You've brought us out of stasis. I assume you have news.

 

[Orac]

[Doctor's office]

EMH: Yes. Our sensors show your vital signs are normal. How are you feeling?

 

[Athena28]

[Planet surface]

JANEWAY: We're fine. How long were we in stasis?

 

[CaptVader]

[Doctor's office]

EMH: A total of seventeen days.

 

[Orac]

Janeway [OC]: That long?

 

[May 20]

EMH: I wanted to exhaust every possibility of finding a cure.

 

[CaptVader]

Janeway [OC]: And?

 

[Orac]

EMH: I regret to inform you that I have been unsuccessful.

[Planet surface]

EMH [OC]: I have not been able to develop a counteragent for the virus, and I have no other options to explore.

 

[Catarina]

CHAKOTAY: What about keeping us in stasis aboard Voyager?

EMH [OC]: Something in the planet's environment is shielding you from the effects of the virus.

[Doctor's office]

EMH: If you leave, you risk a recurrence of the disease, which would undoubtedly prove fatal. The only option I can think of at the moment is contacting the Vidiians. They have sophisticated medical technology. It's possible they might be able to help.

 

[CaptVader]

[Planet surface]

JANEWAY: We'll take it under advisement, Doctor. Thank you for your efforts. Janeway out. What do you think?

 

[Orac]

Chakotay: It's risky. The Vidiians have never shown any willingness to help us. It's more likely they'd attack Voyager and try to harvest body parts from the crew.

 

[Tiran O'Saurus]

JANEWAY: Agreed. I just want to make sure we're not overlooking a possible alternative.

 

[CaptVader]

CHAKOTAY: Could we live with ourselves, knowing we sent Voyager into that kind of danger?

 

[Orac]

Janeway: Janeway to Tuvok.

 

[May 20]

TUVOK [OC]: I'm here, Captain.

 

[CaptVader]

JANEWAY: You must be aware of the Doctor's report.

 

[Athena28]

TUVOK: Yes.
