Queer as Folk Season 5

**BEWARE OF SPOILERS**

The whole season disappointed me. First, they had Brian and Justin fight over issues they have already dealt with in the past. Then, there was the pointlessness of Emmett joining a news show, the drama with Hunter who thought the best thing for him was to leave Ben and Michael to hit the road, Emmett breaking up with Drew to end up with some new guy who came out of the blue named Calvin, and the buildup to Brian and Justin's wedding ending with a whimper, claiming that the two being married would destroy who they are. And the ending. God, the ending. The ending which made it look like Brian and Justin have broken up instead of Justin simply leaving New York to further pursue his art career. At least, the final episodes of Six Feet Under made me feel better after the Queer as Folk series finale.

I so wished things were different with this season of the show. How about you guys? What do you think of this season? Do you think it is fine the way it is or do you have your own personal wishes of what should have been for Season 5?

I just pretend season 4 and 5 didn't happen, they were that bad. They had the lesbian couple break up because one had sex with a guy, where di that come from? A bombing of the night club was a joke, the show really just went to hell.

Season 3 ended with everyone dancing in the street because they lived to fight another day, that's how it should have ended.

Yeah, if Ted and Emmett hadn't ended the way they did at the end of Season 3 and Debbie hadn't broken up with the cop guy, I would have accepted the season finale as a potential series ending since everything else seems to be perfect for that. Justin has come to peace with who he is and his relationship with Brian. Brian has opened himself to love with Justin once again and brought down a homophobic mayor. Lindsay and Melanie look forward to their pregnancy and raising another child. Hunter has come to embrace the concept of family with Michael and Ben and though Michael and Hunter are on the lam by the end of the season, we have a feeling that things will be okay in the future.

I HATED Michael, and any season/series finale that didn't leave him face down in the gutter was a bad ending for me.

I though the Brian/Justin story line came to a touching close, each knowing they loved the other, and Brian knowing he had to let Justin go since Justin still had almost as much growing up to do as Brian.

I've tried to burn the scene of Michael and Brian dancing together out of my head. I HATE Michael.
