Spoilers Prodigy Episode Previews

Is that a Xindi?

Also, the cold weather environment makes Gwyn look like she is frozen already.
I always find it difficult to pin Gwyn's skin colour. I think the show runners consider her to be white - actually white, not "white" in the other sense - but she often seems to have a blueish skin tone. It also depends on lighting I suppose.

Skin color in animation is harder because there are so many factors which impact it. Unfortunately, with the pure whiteness of Gwyn it looks very strange with a white background because there is less texturing (there is some) that we would see in real life. It's not a bad thing, but definitely something I noticed.

They certainly look like Xindi Reptilians same outfits, they're also holding Xindi weapons

And Pog and Noum meet already: https://blog.trekcore.com/2022/11/new-star-trek-prodigy-images-for-crossroads/ !

Lt. Frex is also back, and has met up with the Dauntless crew.

Janeway has the Diviner brought on the bridge, to see the Protostar: https://blog.trekcore.com/2022/11/new-star-trek-prodigy-images-for-crossroads/

The synopsis: "when the crew attempts to secure transport to the Federation, they unwittingly cross paths with the Vice Admiral who is hunting them".
So it appears they are trying alternative ways to reach the Federation. Pity it won't work this time around, due to "bad impression" that the Dauntless crew has.

Like we both thought... things are starting to heat at this juncture.
Prodigy definitely does this kind of story telling better.
I just wish the episodes were longer.

22-ish minutes is indeed short. There's no filler, but at times I also would want more scenes.

With Jankom Pog right there talking with dr. Noum, who should be clearly recognisable as a Starfleet officer, in principle he should be talking about the weapon and about Tars Lamora (and the circumstances in which the ship was found). Granted, Jankom is perhaps the crew member least likely to use the right words, as the first thing he blurted out on the relay station was "we stole it". Still, either they talk and Noum just plain doesn't believe him, or Jankom is not recognised as a potential Protostar-thief (I'm not sure if the winter outfits of the teens would be recognized as being Starfleet issue, if they indeed are that, and they are not visibly wearing communicators) and he doesn't use the golden opportunity to say what happened.

speculation: in the picture https://blog.trekcore.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/crossroads-07-scaled.jpg, they may be looking at the remains of Okona's vessel (assuming he has one and he got into trouble that led to it being destroyed, maybe by those Xindi, so he has to ask for a ride with the Protostar group instead of the other way round). The crestfallen expressions in the picture would seem to fit such a situation.

I after I posted my previous reply something else came to mind. The ice planet could be the same one the NX-01 visited in the Expanse at the beginning of S3.
Although, I can't recall if that planet was frozen or not... I might be mistaking it for another frozen planet from the ENT pilot.

I wouldn't have thought that they would find this planet (with the "rogue geneticist") in the neutral zone. I wonder how that works, under the nose of the Romulans.
Given recent setbacks I imagine there are places even the Romulans can't monitor.

I think every scene from the mid-season trailer came from the first 5 episodes (of the back-half of S1), unless I'm missing something?

We did get one screenshot of Jellico talking on a viewscreen, that hasn't been seen yet. Indicating that at least Tysess (who is talking with Jellico) remains on the Dauntless and seems to be in control (he's on the bridge with at least one ensign, it seems). Maybe Janeway is standing next to him out of frame, or maybe she has been taken hostage by Ascencia.
