This is old news.

Well, It's awfully close to that kitchen sink approach that some fans didn't like about Picard's last season, but interesting nonetheless.

Season III is what the series should have been from the start. That it wasn't, eh, it was still an unexpected gift. Both the season and the series as is. People can have such short memories––Stewart was out of Star Trek for good.

But I mean it's interesting to experience it as it is. Like a window into three different series.
 
No wonder the show is a failure if Trek can't even pull of a crossover with itself on screen anymore.
 
I don’t think the show was a failure. Frankly, it’s a wonder such an esoteric series made it past a season. But it seemed to do well. (And for God’s sake did you see the second season of Prodigy? Holy shit, that was great.) It just got the chopping block because they’re cutting back on series.
