Need help with Klingon phrase

You're posting on a Trek message board and you can't speak Klingon?!? You disgust me! :p

If I can find my dictionary, I'll try to look it up for you.

My dishonour knows no limits. I am a disgrace to my House and to the Empire. If I tried to travel the river of blood, I'd probably fall in and drown.

If I can find my dictionary, I'll try to look it up for you.

Thanks!

I was just looking at the KLI website.

Apparently, "Da'nal" and "Da'vi" are words for "birds with erratic and unpredictable behaviour". (Fron "Donald" and "Daffy" Duck, respectively)

I assume, therefore that the word for "mouse" is something like "mI'QeH". ;)

Now all I need is "that roared".

:guffaw:

I'd kill to see a Klingon critic's analysis of their antics. :)

Your idea for "mouse" is pretty funny (and means something like "angry dance"). There is the word Qa'Hom, which is defined as "titmouse", but pictures of it show a tiny shrew-like animal (apparently someone thought a titmouse was a kind of mouse!). "To roar" is bey, so beybogh Qa'Hom is approximately "mouse that roared".

Might I kindly have a translation for ``My hands are soaking in dishwashing liquid?''

(I actually had this, once, long ago, but I've long since lost the e-mail. I think it literally parsed back into ``this fluid in which my hands sit? Does it not clean dishes?'')

While we're discussing Klingon phrases, anyone remember a Simpsons episode where Comic Book Guy wonders what the Klingon word for loneliness is? He then looks in his Klingon dictionary and says the word. Anyone know if that word really was the Klingon word for loneliness?

I believe the word was "gar-dahk" or something to that effect. I have no idea whether or not it's the 'real' Klingon word for loneliness--I'm a geek, but I ain't that big a geek.
