My Grievances of Nutrek. What makes me a hater...

Re: My Greivences of Nutrek. What makes me a hater...

I wish it had been considered normal, required even, for every Enterprise crew member to have a cat and the whole freaking ship was FULL OF CATS.

I'd like to see some cats lounging about on the bridge, strolling down the corridors..
Hairballs in the machinery...

Oh yeah, because sensible eye-protection is lame.

Seriously, are people that desperate to find things to dislike?
Jesus Fucking Christ. I ASKED A QUESTION. I asked somebody to explain an aspect of the movie I didn't understand. Someone was kind enough to do that.

The rest of you can quit trolling, okay?
Maurice's post was pretty clearly a response to CommishSleer's*, which had been quoted in the post immediately preceding his; he wasn't even talking to you, so relax. And leave off accusing people of trolling you, while you're at it - that's become very boring with frequent repetition, and may itself be considered trolling.

* I think she mostly liked the movie anyway, but I could be mistaken about that.
I'm the one who first brought up the question about the goggles. Given how I've been frequently attacked here just for expressing negative opinions about the movie, it was a natural assumption that the remark was directed at/about me.

Is that why the Caitians were WAXED?!

A lot of planets have a Brazil.

23rd Century Alternate Universe should have had energy force field eye protection by then.

FAIL!

they were probably too busy hooking up helium balloons to freshly-assembled starships to haul them partway up out of planetary gravity wells.

Seriously they were ugly goggles.

In comparison to the hundreds of fantastic futuristic Earth costumes and sets we had in the rest of STID. Something we never saw in any of the series or movies.
And you should see the list of nitpicking criticisms I have with TWOK and its my favourite movie of all time.

Come on, admit it they should have taken this stylish eyewear from TOS:

Re: My Greivences of Nutrek. What makes me a hater...

I don't make itemized lists about things I hate (except in my angry letters to political office holders), I just try to stop thinking about them and move on with my life.

I love you.:bolian:;)

Re: My Greivences of Nutrek. What makes me a hater...

My only issue with the Alternate Universe movies is the lack of exploration that has always been a part of the series.

Only two movies so far, and the opening of the second film was all about elective exploration.

Better averages than the previous ten Trek movies, I suspect.

Sort of OT, but a big halloo to Mycroft: are you still reading this thread?

Because the title makes my inner OCD grammar/spelling Nazi twitch and want to Murder People. I've been fighting to keep it under control for a long time, but I'm hearing The Sound of Drums, a voice telling me "Unleash your anger; only your hatred can destroy me!" and the ever-repeated cryptic word "redrum. REDRUM. REDRUM. REDRUM."

And I'm... I'm just not sure how much longer I have...

* shuddering sob, regathers self * What I'm saying is, you might save a few lives if you corrected "Greivences" to "Grievances." It's a subtle, but truly life-or-death difference...

Yet somehow Spot was able to escape from Data's quarters on occasion and mate with other cats. Either Data doesn't lock his doors, or the cat is smarter than he/she's letting on. Something's sinister there!

Spot's real name is Pixel.

Haha, Im still reading. Yeah, I have trouble with my grammar. I think its the rush when I'm in the library. I don't have access to internet most of the time, so I use my library card to get 90 minutes of library access a day. So I rush and I get dislexic, and numb fingered, on top of having memory lapses on how to spell words.
