Leverage just became one of my favorite tv shows

Ok.. so i watched last night's episode and while I really liked the series before that last night's episode was just the home run to make it one of my favorite series. I laughed my ass off with the "I'm afraid of horses" flashback!! :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw: It got just the right blend of action, camp and drama to make it extremely enjoyable.

I have to agree that Parker is hilarious on this show. Her dumbfounded and quirky facial expressions are just priceless. I know that some people hate the character and the actress but I think Beth Riesgraf has done a great job in displaying the awkwardness and craziness that is inherent in the character.

Yeah Leverage is a pretty fun show if you can ignore some of the unbelievable plots and numerous plot holes. I checked out few of the episodes after I heard Gina Bellman was in it. I'll definitely be tuning in for more.

I just checked out the first episode, because I heard Gina Bellman was in it. Anyone else get a real Hustle vibe from it? It seems very much like the American Hustle to me. Seemed ok, but I don't know whether I'm gonna bother with the rest of it, I already have too much to watch.

I think it should be right next to Burn Notice-that would be two hours of straight grinning.

I don't think it's as good as Hustle, and it's not as cool. That said, I find the characters to be a lot more fun, and usually have a smile on my face throughout the whole show.

I just finished the last episode, and loved it, and was glad to learn that it's getting 12(?) more episodes this summer.

Two things I want to see when the show returns...
1.
I hope they bring Nate's ex-wife back

2. Christian Kane needs a haircut. ;)

I had similar feelings. I don't know the characters too well after 1 episode, but I already like Gina Bellman's character, and Christian Kane's seems to be fun. But I don't know, I guess "it's American" covers it, meaning it seems to have to be bigger and bolder which isn't necessarily a good thing.
But again, that's only my feeling after 1 episode.

The show is OK, but it is seriously lightweight. It has no dramatic gravity at all. They have tried to inject serious themes like alcoholism into it and it just falls flat on it's face in that respect.

Its jaunty and fun though, it is good at that.

I'm really enjoying it. Anyone else catch the Dr. Who references?

There are several references throughout the show to "Doctor Who" (2005). In "Leverage" The Bank Shot Job (2008) Hardison expresses his frustration at the amount of time it took him to torrent the latest episode of "Doctor Who". In "Leverage" The Mile High Job (2009), the aliases given are all references to "Doctor Who" (Nate's aliases, Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy and Tom Baker, all portrayed The Doctor while Sophie's alias is Sarah Jane Baker, a reference to Sarah Jane Smith, one of The Doctor's companions). Furthermore, in "Leverage" The 12-Step Job (2009), Nate again uses the alias Tom Baker, while Parker uses Rose, the name of another one of The Doctor's companions.
