"Kill Bill Vol. 3" on the way.

Didn't see a thread about this (hopefully I haven't just overlooked it), so I thought I'd bring it up.

Quentin Tarantino has recently confirmed that he plans to continue the cinematic adventures of the Bride (Uma Thurman) in a third volume of Kill Bill. He hasn't divulged too many details, except that he intends for it to take place a decade after Volumes 1 and 2 because he felt the Bride "deserved ten years to relax" with her child, but after that, he intends to "make her fight again".

Well, I'm game. I enjoyed the first two volumes of Kill Bill, and I'd be interested in seeing what Tarantino has in store for us this time. I wonder if there will be a title change, though, considering the fate of Bill in the last one, as well as the fact that David Carradine's death would render even flashbacks of Bill impossible (unless Tarantino uses stock footage). Either way, I don't see the character of Bill being a main focus in the story. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The decade will give time for that one woman's daughter to have grown up, and get ready to take her revenge on the Bride.

Oh dear...

Actually if he can make it in the fun style of volume 1 I'd be game, if it's gonna be the long winded, pretentious, boring nonsense that vol 2 was I'll give it a miss.

This is pretty old news, he announced he'd do this back when Volume 2 came out.
About the child of the Vivica Fox charatcer going to get her revenge on Beatrix

When #2 came out he said he would make a third one when Vivica Fox's daughter grew up enough to come for revenge against the Bride. Of course he also said he was going to make an anime flashback of the Deadly Divas. And he also said he was going to make a chop socky karate film in Mandarin. And he also... you get the idea.

I think Kill Bill vols. 1 and 2 work well as a complete story, so this seems a bit odd, but whatever.

I'd enjoy another Kill Bill film, but I feel like a Kill Bill Vol. 3 is about as likely to happen as a Vega Bros. movie ever was.

I've actually heard he has a 4th volume in mind as well. Basically Vol. 3 would see the daughter of Vivica A. Fox's character "Copperhead" take down Beatrix Kiddo and Vol. 4 would be Kiddo's kid taking revenge on Copperhead's daughter! The question is will he actually ever make 'em! Here's hopin'.

^ I was just thinking of something similar. Having a sequel made up of two more volumes, and calling it something other than "Kill Bill" seems like the way to go. I'd rather that than a tacked on Volume 3.

There's a lot of good possiblities for this - I'm a huge fan of KB, so I will definitely want to see what he does with it!

By which time Copperhead's granddaughter (introduced in Vol. 4) will then take revenge on Kiddo's daughter in Vol. 5, etc. etc. etc. :guffaw:

I loved the first two Kill Bill movies.... but I gotta admit I'd rather he use the time and energy on something else.

The idea of another Tarantino kung fu movie just doesn't excite me all that much.

I'd rather he didn't make this, and given his track record on the subject of films he's announced to make (The Vega Brothers, his Mandarin kung-fu film, this) I'd take the news (which was old five years ago) with a grain of salt.
