I like the progress. The saucer fits perfectly in my opinion with the whole look of the ship so far.

Thank you, I have some changes planned - nothing drastic, just making sure I keep to the smaller cruiser vibe.
I've reached a point with the study model where I either put it to one side or build it fully;
I measure her at 289 meters dead on, with 17 decks. Probably crews around 300.
I'm thinking of going ahead and fleshing this one out: USS Challenger NX-1983 - Challenger Class Transwarp Prototype.

I'm on it. just reshaping a few things and then I shall start the detailing bit...
Health is ok, but the fluid is starting to build up again. I thought with the extra medication and fluid restriction I would have more time, but... *sigh* it is what it is.
It is indeed :-) In fact the base is the same saucer I used for the Consititution Refit.

I think it did ultimately succeed - just not in the way intended. But it paved the road for the new Warp Scale used in TNG. It may have been something as simple as the move away from Intermix Tech, to a newer integrated MAMR Core. Or maybe something more is going on under the hood of the nacelles. Food for thought.

Neck, Nacelles and Pylons are complete:
Made a slight mistake - the reg should read NX-1983, but I've built in NCC-1983. I'm looking into whether I can change it with ease, or whether it will be a ball ache because I build text in. We shall find out!
