Is T'Pol Spock's Ancestor?

Just been watching Star Trek Enterprise Episode 9 - Singularity and I am sure that in the opening sequence T'Pol says "Science officer Spock"

Have searched but can find no references to this.
Do I have a doctored version?
Surprised nobody else has picked this up.

Spock's Vulcan grandfather is named Skon, and his grandfather named Solkar, in Search for Spock. I think I read somewhere that one of them is namedropped once of twice during Enterprise, but never seen.

They were gonna do a season five episode where T'Pol found out her father wasn't dead after all, but a Romulan spy. Either Skon or Solkar (I forget which) was gonna be part of Tiberius Chase's crew in the cancelled film I keep bringing up, Star Trek: The Beginning.

T'Pol's mother knew T'Pau (supposedly the same woman later seen in TOS' "Amok Time", despite absence of ridiculous accent), who is part of Spock's extended family, somehow or other.

This is all moot, as Spock isn't worthy of being T'Pol's descendant. :p

T'Pol gives Archer an English translation of The Teachings of Surak, written by Skon in The Catwalk. Also in that episode, we learn that Solkar was the first Vulcan ambassador to Earth.

As for T'Pau, she's not part of Spock's family; she just presided over his wedding to T'Pring. That is unless the minister/judge/whatever at every wedding is related to the groom or bride. ;)

^Yep. T'Pau's on the early character bios, along with Jackson Archer and "Spike" Tucker.

I'm not a fan of Enterprise, but every now and then I look in on a thread that is posted on the main page as one of the recent topics - especially if it mentions a TOS character or tie-in.

I never quite got the enthusiasm for Trip, but in all fairness, as I wasn't high on the show as a whole, maybe I just didn't see what the fans were seeing.

However, I must say that if the character name had been "Spike," the show could have been much more intriguing! On the other hand, "Jackson"????

T'Pau is not part of Spock's family. The reference only implied that his family must be very important to snag her as officiator:

KIRK: Bones, you know who that is? T'Pau. The only person to ever turn down a seat on the Federation Council.
MCCOY: T'Pau. Officiating at Spock's wedding?
KIRK: He never mentioned that his family was this important.

I just checked Memory Beta. It seems I was thinking of the novels (she's matriarch of Spock's clan in Vulcan's Forge), sorry.

Although, reading that dialog back... IF it were customary for the matriarch to officiate at a wedding, that's exactly what Kirk could be saying.

I don't know that it's ever been established who officiates.

Actually, T'Pol gave Archer the book for a little light reading while on vacation on Risa in "Two Days and Two Nights" (season 1)

I don't recall for certain, but he may have brought it with him to the catwalk...

I wonder if the story ever made it to the draft stage. Because I'd love to read the screenplay... even if it's just a first draft.

There were theories going around that T'Pol might have been Sarek's mother, and she might've been part of what inspired Spock to want to join Starfleet instead of the Vulcan Science Academy.

At least you didn't think there was an episode called "The Cloud Miners" for years and years. :alienblush:
