Is it time to reboot Northern Exposure?

I think that is one that could be lots of fun. I think most of the actors are still alive and Rob Morrow who is your most important character still has a pretty active career. They could maybe change the focus were Morrow is now the mayor of the town and you have city folks coming in wanting to change the town and make it more modern and the town folks don't like it.

There was a report about a year ago or so that there was talks about bringing back the show, during the height of every 90s show returning. I haven't heard anything about it since.

Edit: Yup, it was last November. Here's my short-lived thread on the news.

But to your original point: No, don't reboot it. Go back and rewatch the old show. It still holds up (aside from the night and day issue...).

I wouldn't mind seeing a continuation of some sort...or a reunion...but not a total redo/recasting.

Northern Exposure is one of my favorite shows, but I'd rather they release the original show with the original music instead of that generic stuff they put on the DVDs first and then think about a continuation.

The reunion that was announced last year does have Morrow involved. But, again, I haven't heard anything about it since then.

I'm always against reboots and re-imaginings on principle, but I'd love to see a reunion movie or series. That was an amazing show.

I'm so tired of reboots and the like. I want something different or at least new concepts. With dinosaurs.

Me to but I also see the value of sort of mixing it up. Lot's of new stuff but sometimes you revisit the old stuff especially if it has been gone for awhile and I got to say Northern Exposure fits that bill. Sometimes it can be fun to see a new take on something old as well. Just whatever you do don't run it into the ground trying to milk every little penny you can get out of it like what happened to the Terminator movies.

I love Northern Exposure, but they jumped the shark at the end, and I was satisfied with all that led up to that point. I don't need to see everybody old and wrinkled. I don't think Cicely would be the same with the internet, anyway. That show had to be set in a very narrow timeframe for everything to occur the way it did, culturally.

I'm not even sure if people get the internet in Alaska or if they do it's not very good. That was why just a couple of years ago they still had a Blockbuster.
