I had a thought reading the Marvel animation news. Given their current TV and movie output, I think Howard the Duck would work better as a DC property as long as it wasn’t a CW show.
Extending it further, I’d probably put Doctor Strange and stuff like Shang-Chi over there. While I don’t think it was bad, maybe the MCU could get Aquaman, he seems a good ensemble player.

Patton Oswald and Jordan Blum, the showrunners for the M.O.D.O.K. animated, which is apprently still happening, have also written a comic, which will be coming out in December.

I'm guessing that MODOK was so far along, animation wise, that it would have been throwing money away to stop making it (like Helstrom). It will be interesting to see, it was one of the two cartoons I was interested in (the other being the cancelled Kevin Smith Howard the Duck cartoon).
EW.com has a new article about MODOK, that includes some new details about the plot and our first pictures from the series.
I did not realize before this article that it was stop motion animation, I had assumed it was going to be 2D traditional animation.
There is also going to be an NYCC panel this evening, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get a trailer tonight.

They didn't show a trailer, but they did show a clip during the panel. Io9 has the panel with the clip at the start embeded in their article about it.
