Hulu making Marvel based Adult Animation

I missed Chelsea Handler's involvement in the original announcement. I wonder if she'll voice one of them?
Marvel may have had the rights, but they've gone out of their way to ignore the X-Men (and FF) in various spin off media for years, doing everything from apparently keeping X-Men characters out of some video games (There is no way capcom decided to drop every X-Men character from Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite of their own free will), to even editing shirts/calenders/etc that use team up images with a bunch of marvel heroes so that there are no X-Men characters or references, even if the images originally had them. The FOX merger is obviously making Disney/Marvel stop what had to have been at least a quiet near ban on X-Men merchandise/media tie in stuff.
After having a ton of FF and X-Men stuff in the first LEGO game, they were noticeably absent in the second.

Yeah, I doubt we'd be getting a Tigra/Dazzler show if not for the Fox acquisition.

Though I suppose there's a chance this was in the works before the merger (doubt it, because this deal has been brewing for a long time now), and if that's the case, maybe Marvel said Dazzler is okay because she's not prominently featured in the X-Men movies. They almost surely would have vetoed a Tigra/Storm or Tigra/Mystique or even a Tigra/Negasonic Teenage Warhead show.

Note: I mean they would have vetoed it in the past. Not any more obviously. Hopefully Dazzler is just the tip of the iceberg with regards to the X-Men (and FF) returning to animation. (Even if it is adult-aimed, as opposed to the usual kid-friendly stuff they put out.)

I was going to check out from the comic/superhero genre after Avengers: End game, but I'll give this a go as I like that they are willing to try something a little different.

Well, Tigra looks godawful. Someone apparently doesn't realize that she's not one of the Thundercats. I don't like that Dazzler is holding a drink, because in this context it doesn't say good things about the character's direction.

Howard looks promising, though. I loved his last ongoing comic, the one written by Chip Zdarsky, and this design looks like that one, so hopefully there is a bit of inspiration. At this point I'm really interested in Howard the Duck and M.O.D.O.K., very worried that Dazzler/Tigra will be shit, and don't care about Hit Monkey one way or another.

I hope Seth Green returns as Howard the Duck. The design in the article looks like his most recent series at Marvel Comics.

Hopefully a clearly troubled Spidey can show up.

Howard looks spot on, although I hope he has a cigar and fedora at least once, Dazzler looks ok, not good not bad.

I admit I've never heard of HitMonkey before so I can't really compare but he looks good, like an Elwood Blues Brundlemonkey.

Tigra looks terrible, I wouldn't even think that was her except for the caption, maybe she'll look better moving but her face is all wrong to me and her outfit seems off, it's like she's teen Tigra. Tigra is a character that's been around a very long time, Greer Nelson started of as The Cat wearing the same suit that Hellcat used later. Then she got changed later, twice that I know of, once to a lady with fur and then to more of a cat lady.

MODOK looks to much like a baby version of himself, he's too cutesy. Is he supposed to be some kind of good guy in this, Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is a good guy now? He's the one I'm unhappy with the most.

Kevin Smith gave an update on Howard the Duck at SDCC:

https://comicbook.com/marvel/2019/07/26/kevin-smith-gives-update-on-howard-the-duck-animated-series/

He says the show is a year away, but if they're not even going to get the writers together for another 2 months, I'd be pretty surprised if they can get a show fully animated and ready to go that quickly, especially in light of this other tidbit he dropped:

“In terms of the order of the shows, right now, our show goes last,” Smith said. “Right now it’s MODOK, then Hit-Monkey, then Dazzler & Tigra, then Howard the Duck.

So we're going to assume that these other 3 shows are much further along. Based on that possibly overoptimistic schedule, we could see the MODOK show as soon as 6 months from now. Possibly even sooner.

It sucks that itHoward the Duck getting delayed (I'd have rather seen Hit-Monkey or Dazzler/Tigra get delayed), but maybe they'll end up saving the best for last. I am glad to hear that apparently MODOK is first, since that's the other one of these that i'm interested in.

It's not being delayed, it's just the last one to come out.

I've enjoyed that new Harley Quinn cartoon so I'm hoping MODOK delivers as well. (yeah, I'm old, they're cartoons...)

I'd have definitely had Howard over Hit Monkey (Hit Monkey sucks), but MODOK seems like it could be fun. I'd also rather have had the Reyes Ghost Rider over helstrom, but honestly I'm just happy that Loeb is gone. He has been ruining Marvel TV's potential in both live action and animation since Disney bought Marvel, so I'm more then willing to lose a few potentially cool shows to get him out of power.
