HIKE ANIMATION's Star Trek Projects

Mylex

Hi...I'm Mylex and I've been working on Star Trek animations on the Youtube channel HIKE ANMATION for a few years.

https://www.youtube.com/c/HIKEANIMATION

My main interest is in the Star Trek films of the Kirk era.

As a new member of TREKBBS I would like to present my new project.

I call it Resurrection.

I actually wanted to do a recreation of the Spacedock scene in Star Trek IV, but then I reworked Dennis Bailey's Enterprise Model and used it to create the TMP ending scene.

Then I had the idea of expanding the project and describing an alternative story using original film scenes. I tried it once before in this video.

Now the new video will be a combination of Star Trek III and IV and tells the story of what would have happened if the USS Enterprise had been recovered from Genesis.

I will keep posting new shots here and I look forward to your feedback and support if I have any questions.
So and here are a few first shots, a small teaser will also appear soon.

The video starts with the end of the battle scene in Star Trek III

I'm not working on the project in chronological order. That's why we're already previewing shots 10 and 11.

So far the my first post. More coming soon

Many greetings

Am I the only one who can not see any of the images? First YouTube.link wont work too.

Hi,

so I have no problems with the pictures.

Unfortunately I can no longer edit my first post. So here is the link to the YouTube channel again.

I've worked a little further and today I want to show some Spacedock scenes of the second part of the video.

I also tried replacing the original footage. Not because the original scenes were bad, but to get a coherent overall impression.

All images are processed with color adjustment, blur and grain.

Pictures are working for me, they're really nice. :mallory:
Might watch the youtube clips when I have the time.

Appearently its edges fault. Seems like it wont open images from an insecure website on a secure one.
So now I am going to install a third browser because seemingly browsers are like people and each one has its qirks and you have to accept that. Yeah...2022...just as I imagined it in the 90's.

Oh...nice work btw.

Pictures aren't working but I love Attack of the Klingons - so cool to take classic footage, new CGI and create brand new narratives!

Cool stuff.
I don't see the pictures in the posts here, but if I right-click on the 'broken' image things and click "Open image in new tab" then they load up fine there.

Awesome stuff, @Mylex! Thanks for sharing! :)

About the image links: For some off reason they show up fine when I view this thread on my phone, but when I try to view them on the desktop they are all broken. It must be some security setting on the webspace where you have uploaded them. I'm not knowledgable enough about this kind of stuff to be of any help, but maybe someone else comes along who is.

To help people seeing your images, I edited all your posts to include the image links as text URLs, so people can just click on them easier.

I switched the webspace to SSL encryption. Now there should be no problems viewing the images.

Thanks for your nice comments.

Another key scene is complete. We located the Enterprise on Genesis...

....and recovered she safely.

A little more sound editing and a first teaser will soon be online on YouTube.

Since I still have to wait for the ac3 soundtrack of Star Trek III, I continued to work on the third part of the video.
Here are two more Spacedock scenes that should also be very well known...

and here she comes....

I think you've got a little typo there, It's "Dennis Bailey" he also posts here on TrekBBS, can't remember the nickname though..
