A guy at church got the game already from eBAY, I've seen the game but not on HD, but it seems great (xbox

So is anyone here going to get the Special Edition of the game?

It has a duffel bag, bank deposit box, key chain, art book, and soundtrack. I thought about it but in the end I decided that it wasn't worth the extra $30. Just give me the game already!

There's a whole bunch of HD footage (from the 360 version, I believe) and a video review up on Gametrailers, if anyone cares who hasn't already noticed.

Jack Thompson and the prudish media are going to have an absolute field day with this game in the next few weeks.

(NSFW in-game GTA4 video--no nudity, but a few surprisingly graphic sex acts)

This is pretty obviously Rockstar's way of giving the finger to everyone for the Hot Coffee incident. Good to see them not back down from controversy after that whole thing.

Anyone who complains about children getting ahold of this needs a good boot to the head considering this is an M (mature) rated game that discloses the following information right on the box: Partial Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, Use of Drugs and Alcohol, Blood, and Intense Violence.

That's awesome on so many levels. I love how Rockstar is just giving a big fuck you to the whiners. Beautiful.

In addition to IGN's review, they also have a special 1 hour podcast. Hype train is almost at the station!

I'm going to get it like I do all my games, when they have been out for awhile and they are sitting on a used game shelf for only $30 bucks. I have no problem waiting for this to happen.

Yep, looks like there's going to be a repeat of that "Hot Coffee" stupidity.

Anyone that wants a non-watered down version probably has to get it ASAP.

I should hope Rockstar doesn't alter the game considering the game's rating and the fact that this game contains sex, violence, etc. is mentioned on the box.

The Hot Coffee thing was due to the fact that it wasn't disclosed to the ratings board...nevermind that it couldn't be accessed in the actual game without significant hacks involved.

I voted No. I wont be buying it. I will be renting it for my 360 and burning a copy tho...
Maybe you should include that as an option for this poll?

I hope you get banned from live.:techman:

I'll be picking up the PS3 version. I'm not usually into the GTA games, but I'm curious about what Rockstar have done with this.

I really look forward to eventually getting this game, and I'm sure it will be awesome...
But anyone else kinda think once you get past the freshness of it, and stop admiring the graphics and new cars etc, it's still just gonna be the same old game we've played three times before?

ie, all the missions consist of driving from point A to B, shooting some people, drive from B to C, collect some item, shoot more people, drive back to A, etc

Sure with each game they keep adding little things you can do (change clothes, fly planes, ride bikes, swim, etc) but at the end of the day its still pretty much exactly the same and can get a tad repetitive, notably when you try and play the games again

I thought that a long time ago. Pretty much every game in the genre is the same thing. The only game in a similar vein I've really enjoyed in the last few years is Crackdown.
