the 800 mini was designed specifically to load with whatever ROMS you want, as was the GameStationPro.
Atari doesn't care.

I'm still playing Super Metroid ROM hacks..... there are dozens, I will never run out of Super Metroid variants to play. Lol.

I’d say an under dose. As Madden became less involved, the games grew worse. There was no guiding principles to it anymore.
Just like what happened with Apple post-Jobs. It's always a profound shame when something great loses its soul after others take over and deviate from its original intent. I've never played Madden myself, but I have known many who did and share the same sentiment about losing its way.
