Field of Fire Line-by-Line

Hello, Welcome!

We recently completed The Butcher’s Knife Cares Not for the Lamb’s Cry thread in the Discovery forum!

For anyone unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes (like the Dominion Occupation Arc on DS9 or the Xindi Arc on ENT), each episode is a separate thread.

O'BRIEN: Hear, hear.

 

[Oddish]

BASHIR: "I haven't finished."

KIRA: Don't ruin it, Julian. That was just what a toast should be. Short and to the point.

 

[Oddish]

ILARIO: "I wouldn't mind hearing a little more."

 

[CaptVader]

EZRI: Now, now. Modesty above all.

 

[Oddish]

BASHIR: "This is no time to be modesty. This man, this youth, this mere pup still wet behind the ears..."

BASHIR: I was speaking metaphorically. This inspired cherub masterfully piloted the Defiant into battle against a half dozen Jem'Hadar attack ships, and once all the smoke had cleared, only one ship remained intact, and that, ladies and gentlemen, was the USS Defiant.

 

[Oddish]

O'BRIEN: "The kid's a born helmsman."

 

[Orac]

Bashir: And so say all of us.

 

[Oddish]

ALL: "Hear, hear!"

ILARIO: Thanks. I'm just glad to be here.

 

[Oddish]

O'BRIEN: "It's the best posting in the galaxy."

 

[Orac]

Bashir: If there's anything you want, anything at all, just ask.

ILARIO: Well, there is one thing.

 

[Oddish]

O'BRIEN: "Name it."

ILARIO: Next time you two go to the holosuite, I'd like to come along.
