Californication Season 2

Anybody watching this show ?

I loved season 1, it was one of the best things on tv last year...

I haven't watched any of season 2 yet but hopefully I will soon.

Any opinions on the new episodes ?

It's been pretty good so far. Hank is still Hank (or David Duchovny if you prefer), but I'm not sure how far to go into it without spoiling you. It's only two episodes in though, so not much has happened yet, well, one or two things. ;)
Callum Keith Rennie from Battlestar Galactica's in it though and it looks like his character's going to be the instigator of the season's storyline, or at least more hilarity.
:techman:

I was going top start a thread about this. Sorry, but I thoiught it was crass.

I was flicking past it and stopped to watch. When it got to the bit in the opening scene where he's in bed with his SO, and he's says he's going to "hose her down", I just went "blargh" and changed channels.

When I came back a bit later , they're in a car and he's saying something like, "Look, I'm sorry I smell of pussy".

:wtf:

Crass, crass, crass.

I haven't found the first two episodes as entertaining as last season, but it feels like they're moving the characters around to get them in position for this season's storylines. Now that most of that seems to be done, I'm hoping things pick up with episode 3.

I really liked the first season. It was crass, profane, and at times verged on being soft-core pornography...but it also managed to be a nice, sentimental tale about a family, and a kooky tale of a disfunctional writer that Hank Moody is.

But it told a complete story. I'm not sure I'm interested in season one. Hank and his wife seemed to be back together in the end. He gave up his right to the book Madeline Zima's character stole. His agent and his wife were back together. And his daughter, slowly, is shown to be growing up.

What's in it for me to watch season two? And I ask this having loved Duchovny as Moody in the first season.

I loved, loved, LOVED season one :techman::techman::techman:

Two episodes in, and I'm liking it so far...has Hank changed? Other than the patch on his arm and the mistaken oral rape (:guffaw:), I doubt his 'change' will last...but I'm in all the way to find out :techman:

Oh, and don't argue with your S.O. when pulled over by a cop :p

I liked the two eps that have aired so far. It's still a highly entertaining show. :D

Snorty smurf. :guffaw:

I saw the first 2 episodes.... I liked them.
Seems they are setting some interesting things up there....

And I don't know about you, I really like the kid they have playing Duchovny's daughter

I was a little worried that with Hank and Karen back together(was hoping it was a dream) that it wouldn't be as funny, but it has been great!

I'm loving Callum Keith Rennie as Lew Ashby, great addition to the show. Next weeks dinner party looks like it will be a riot.
