Anyone still build models?

Great build!

Well, that's my 1/1000 scale NX-01 finished. What started as a colour guinea pig for an upcoming 1/350 build, really blossomed into something pretty nice.

Wow, this looks absolutely stunning, @HotRod! The work you did on this appears to be flawless. The metallic paint job and internal lighting really make it pop and come to life. I wish I could see this in real life and study it with my own eyes for a while.

Do you have a ballpark number for how many hours of work you put into this?

It's hard to say as the time I have to work on my models is often very sporadic. This one took about 4 and a half months, but that includes week long periods where I barely looked at the thing. Thanks for the kind words.

At the RPF, we see…a Killer Bee
That's another excellent piece of work. Again, physical styrene/resin/3D printed parts or whole ship, is the way to go... I love seeing a physical vessel. Nothing beats the physical reality of a model.

Here are a couple of old ideas I had done a while back...

More kits for the pile! After I finish the1/350 NX-01 that I'm working on, I'm looking foward to taking a break from Starfleet and all their various shades of gray, and digging into that Bird of Prey. Can't wait to weather it up and make it dirty!

Nice collection. I like the BOP

Not models as such but I love mechanical counters..

I'm in the process of building one from a Ugers kit but I am not confident I'll have mine working so this time around I'm just going to build the physical model with the 4 digits... Next time I'll try to build it fully working.
