Saw the Rogue One movie with a younger family member who is a big Star Wars fan. Didn't connect with the characters nor the overall setting at all.
Then came season one of Andor. Easily one of the best TV series I've seen - ever - with lots of interesting characters and stories, as well as wonderful visuals (sets, costumes) and music scores.
Very much looking forward seeing season two and then the movie again - this time in a very different light.
I was just gonna post this![]()
Disney Reveals $645 Million Spending On Star Wars Show ‘Andor’
Disney has revealed that the cost of making Star Wars show Andor has surged to $645 million after it spent a record $290.9 million last year on filming its second season.www.forbes.com
Andor looks like 600 million? And at least Andor looks like 600 million bucks. There are other streaming Star Wars shows that cost a shitload too and do not look even half as good as Andor.
I think a lot has to do with the level of care they took:And at least Andor looks like 600 million bucks. There are other streaming Star Wars shows that cost a shitload too and do not look even half as good as Andor.
Damn, that is an insane amount of money. How would this compare to the other Disney+ Star War or Marvel shows? Because I don't really see where it looks that much more expensive to produce than they are.![]()

They can't afford it, they make TV series at a loss, that's why Marvel reduced the budgets for their new TV series, for example. Since they can't do a low-budget job on Star Wars, they continue with the same mentality.Damn, that is an insane amount of money. How would this compare to the other Disney+ Star War or Marvel shows? The numbers are for the second season. 1st season didn't look like $600M.And at least Andor looks like 600 million bucks. There are other streaming Star Wars shows that cost a shitload too and do not look even half as good as Andor.
No, the total budget for both seasons is 600 million dollars. The numbers are for the second season. 1st season didn't look like $600M.
Those numbers are so insane I find them hard to believe. $300M production budget and another 300 for post?
More precisely, the total budget for the 2nd season is 645 million dollars, and the budget for the 2nd season is 290 million dollars. No, the total budget for both seasons is 600 million dollars.

Uh....okay.More precisely, the total budget for the 2nd season is 645 million dollars, and the budget for the 2nd season is 290 million dollars.
I don't think you are considered suspicious, it's Forbes' turn to report the news. They are probably leaking from wherever they are filming. Or Disney is leaking. Considering the size of the project, spending 645 million dollars for a Star Wars production over 2 seasons is normal.Sp what is this $511 million "revenue from the studio"?
Sounds like some kind of accounting trick to minimize profit?
Also, no money for advertising?
I dunno...seems shady

This "chart" only covers E&E Industries (the subsidiary company that makes Andor in the UK) ...it has nothing to do with parent company costs, DIsney would pay advertising costs directly.Sp what is this $511 million "revenue from the studio"?
