Spoilers AHSOKA series [Spoiler Discussion]

I have fallen asleep during 3 out of 4 episodes.

It's so boring.

They made David Tenant boring.

That's a David Copperfieldarian level magic trick.

I've only fallen asleep once or twice. Otherwise . . . I think the pacing of this series is a bit sluggish. So far. But I will withhold my overall opinion until after the series ends.

The Guardian really doesn't like Ahsoka lol
The latest Star Wars spin-off, Ahsoka, is painfully glacial TV about a giant Oompa Loompa in a novelty hat. These shows need to be banished to a galaxy far away.
It must be very complicated being George Lucas. On the one hand, you get to wake up inside a vast Scrooge McDuck money vault every morning. On the other, you have to live with the absolute mess Disney has made of your life’s work. To be George Lucas must be to know that you are indirectly responsible for allowing something as soggy and aimless as Ahsoka to seep into the world.

I wouldn't have thought you could have (implicit) prequel-apologetics and hate Ahsoka's prequel-inflected portentousness in the same sentence, but here we are.

Probably same Journalist that praised Andor for being Peak Star Wars, but which was to me Glacial and utterly boring.
Where Ahsoka has me literally on the edge of my seat sometimes and is PEAK Disney Star Wars to me.

One of the things I enjoy most about Star Wars in general, and modern Star Wars in particular, is how varied it is in tone and content.
I've very much enjoyed how pulpy and fun Mando & BoBF have been, digging right into the Flash Gordon meets John Ford & Akira Kurosawa of it all. I loved Andor for everything it did with the serious tone, plotting, intense focus on character & themes, and the overall very grounded approach. Right now I'm enjoying Ahsoka's more nuanced, kind of middle-ground approach with the focus squarely on the core Jedi philosophies, the Campbellian mythic themes, and a healthy dose of Samurai pulp.
I look forward to some noir style intrigue and a brand new setting from 'The Acolyte', and some classic 80's Amblin kid's adventure storytelling from 'Skeleton Crew'.

Call me crazy, but I prefer to define my fandom by the things I like about it.

I enjoyed both. Andor is a slow drama, Ahsoka (and Mando) are action-adventure
I enjoy all that has been put forward in Star Wars in some capacity, even the things I don't like.

The PT gave rise to some amazing tech and ship designs, as well as having Ewan McGregor rock it as Obi-Wan.
The ST gave some of my favorite characters in Star Wars period.
Clone Wars gave a lot of humanity to the clones.
Andor did a lot more to expand upon the politics of the galaxy.
Book of Boba Fett humanized Fett in a way that I found deeply refreshing.
Mandalorian made Mandalorians not just insufferable one note warriors. Gave them depth. Plus Grogu.

Each piece has a lot of fun, and I see the influence of Star Wars' influences all over it. I might not like it all, and Ahsoka is a bit too derivative for my tastes but I'll judge it more when the story is done.

The map ball seems to be based off a real puzzle ball
