This is sarcasm, right? PLEASE tell me it's sarcasm, because that ship looks like a good definition of "fanwank". They took the SOV and added NX-01 cross bars on back. I bet it has "about 15 photon torpedo tubes"

The trailer looked quite interesting but I really hope those won´t be the final ship designs seen in the game.

I'm not sure those two will be in the game at all now, since those were the concepts done by Perpetual Entertainment, and they're not involved anymore.

As excited as I am for this game the ship designs are super disappointing...every one I've seen just feels like a "now with more chunky" version of an existing design, except for the "peace sign" class mentioned above, which I just hate hate hate.

I won't really hold that against the actual game play too much, which I think is promising. But these guys really should've called up Probert, Sternbach, et. al to get some pointers on TNG ship design before going all lego on us.

Part of that might be the problem, the ships are designed to have customizable parts. I think it should be possible to figure that out and still come up with something that looks decent however.

The Defiant-like shuttle (kinda like the Hybrid in the finale of Hidden Frontier but smaller) seemed like a nice idea as well.

I don't know why they don't just surf over at JOAT. I mean, I love that place. Not affiliated or anything. But they have some great ship designs.

I don't HATE the donut design... but I don't see the point of it either.

Maybe they just don't want to have to give anybody else credits?

Most of those ships look like John Eaves let his kid loose with a box of crayons. I wonder if there's some sort of petition we can start to get Cryptic to go back to the drawing board. I'd wait longer for the game if it meant we got ships that don't look like the retarded cousins of what we're used to in Trek.
