Not sure this counts as fan production, given that Shatner and Curtis came back and there is a certain level of official involvement, what I’m sure is that once I understood what I was actually witnessing I got very emotional.

Adding @Jules / OTOY to answer these questions. I know that they use a combination of live action actors, including Robin Curtis reprising as Saavik, Sam Witwer as Kirk and others standing in. The CGI used to update the faces to more realistic representations. In my neck of the world, we have a word for something like that. It's "Boah!" Spoken like boar, but meaning "Absolutely awesome and astounding." How long did it take to create this? Was all of that rendered in the computer? Or did one put "cgi-masks" on actors? Thank you in advance and LLAP.
Indeed, that sequence was quite puzzling to me. Why is Mitchell there? It looked like a reality where he survived and won…perhaps a foreboding of the involvement of differing timelines? Also Lockwood was involved too for Gary.
You are not.I must be the only one on the Internet whose reaction to this was "meh." It just doesn't do anything for me. I don't get what all the fuss is about.
Perhaps, as others have speculated in another thread, he had survived in some fashion, and only his body was eliminated. And once he mastered his abilities he was feeling more benevolent.Indeed, that sequence was quite puzzling to me. Why is Mitchell there? Not exactly with these productions. The first one is Spock sharing his experiences with Colt in some fashion. Him clicking with Colt in the Kelvin timeline is consistent with these productions.Of course Colt appearing is even more puzzling. Well, I guess she served with Spock…
I don't seem him as sloppy. We don't see his role in the Temporal Wars, and he might have opted to appear quite dissonant so Kirk would approach him.Funny personal note: I’m having a ball at imagining the temporal agent (an hologram of which was seen, with the same uniform, in discovery) as being extremely sloppy: he got the uniform wrong by several years and he doesn’t care!
What’s up with the big fires then?Perhaps, as others have speculated in another thread, he had survived in some fashion, and only his body was eliminated. And once he mastered his abilities he was feeling more benevolent

Nah, it’s just funnier that way!I don't seem him as sloppy. We don't see his role in the Temporal Wars, and he might have opted to appear quite dissonant so Kirk would approach him.
"Time is the fire in which we burn," perhaps? What’s up with the big fires then?
I'll, uh, take your word for it.Nah, it’s just funnier that way!
Yeah, these are officially licensed shorts not fan films, although I'm sure we're only a few years from AI generating similar content and thus a tidal wave of low effort fan content. As one of the people who suspected the RA's projects might technically be fan films, I want to note that in the credits for "Unification," it did explicitly state it was an official Star Trek product licensed by Paramount, clearing up the gray area where (as far as I could tell) none of the prior RA projects had those magic words attached to them.

A great mystery is why the tng season 1/2 uniform. Was it the only thing in the closet that fit?Indeed, that sequence was quite puzzling to me. Why is Mitchell there? It looked like a reality where he survived and won…perhaps a foreboding of the involvement of differing timelines?

I hope, there is more to come.A great mystery is why the tng season 1/2 uniform. Was it the only thing in the closet that fit?
I’m wondering if Picard 3 encouraged them to make this. Yes the tng cast were all fit and able to make it, but did they look at this and get the urge to give Kirk and Spock closure?
I think I get the narrative now but those first two films have glimpses of Colt and TMP Spock, the ring ship, the tower etc. this series is arty but there are things making y question if there is more to come
Where is this from?
The character appeared with this uniform in discovery. In fact the uniform is the only reason I immediately knew who he was.A great mystery is why the tng season 1/2 uniform. Was it the only thing in the closet that fit?
A Star Trek comic book.Where is this from?
I know i was joking about him picking the worst uniformWhere is this from?
