A Constantine Series Is in Development

Sound like they're throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. Honestly though, of the three I think Constantine has the greatest potential if done right.

PLEASE tell me it's gonna be the blonde haired, British version.

Better be. :)

I suggested Jamie Campbell Bower on Facebook in response to a friend who posted this information, as I think he'd be "gettable" for a weekly television series. She countered with Tom Hardy, which would be very good and not entirely out of the realm of possibility.

So this'd basically be a PI procedural show with some supernatural elements/socio-theological kitsch thrown in? With maybe some wisecracks along the way? How stupefyingly novel - pardon me while I go spend some quiet time in a large, dark room so as to not hyperventilate with excitement. :p

Constantine has had great potential as a series from the beginning, but not on NBC. It needs to be either a British series or an HBO series. It would be great if it were similar in tone to Torchwood or the more recent Utopia. On NBC, it would not have the edge that a Constantine series really needs.

I liked the character in JLD Vol. 1, and I like these kinds of supernatural shows, so I'll gladly check this out if it happens.

"Justice League Dark" is still happening as far as I'm aware. This is probably something separate and that just focuses on Constantine.

Shame this is on Network TV. I'd like to see it on HBO or the like - maybe HBO need a replacement for True Blood and will go for something like this.

I guess I should've put a winky after my Sting suggestion. I was just joking about Sting because the character's appearence was modeled after Sting.

^ Fair enough. But I've seen his name bandied about in seriousness, even though he has the acting skills of a slug and is probably too old now.

I still say Marc Warren is perfect and his profile in the USA ought to be a little higher lately since his stint on The Good Wife.
