Who Would You Like to Have Seen More of?

Tellarites and Andorians haven't got anything on Tholians and Gorns. :p

Now that would have been cool to see on TNG.

I wanted to see more Tellerites, Andorians, duty skirts/go-go boots, etc...

(Plainly, more TOS elements).

Hmm...now I'm picturing Andorians and Tellarites wearing skirts and go-go boots...

I love Andorians, I would love to see more in TNG or the other series. Tellarites too.

Well, there is always the thought of Lt. Talas in a duty skirt and go-go boots...;)

Tellerites, Andorians, Tholians, and Gorns...Oh, my!

No reason we can't have all four...;)

Let's not forget the Orions...(Alright, that makes five....and the duty skirts and go-go boots makes six or seven...:shifty:)

:guffaw:

I'm sure the First Federation can be thrown into that mix as well. :)

It's too bad really, a lot of these non-Federation races appear to border (or at least close) to Federation territory, and yet they are so rarely seen or mentioned.

More Ensign Robin Lefler. Not sure I'd want to keep her as a love interest for Wesley. Not unless they suddenly decided to stop writing Wesley as a complete goober. Ashley Judd was a cutie though.
Plus she was a quirky character, with her rules and 'genki' outlook.

I agree about Lefler and I love that you used that word to describe her! Sugoi! :techman:. She was such a lovely character. She deserved to be featured in better episodes than that silly "The Game"!

Lefler, or Gomez, or basically anybody else in engineering, besides Geordi. He finally got Barclay, but even he was scarce. He needed more people like what Crusher had, in Nurse Ogawa, & that other male assistant, Martinez. More of that would have been nice. The problem with hiring someone like Dwight Schultz is that he won't sign to the kind of contract Patti Yasutake did, recurring speaking roles, which aren't really guest actors. It's a lower pay scale, for sure, & likely a bit sporatic

The budget was probably a concern, in this matter, but we're really only talking about one other Martinez type, who doesn't speak much, & another Ogawa type, who speaks a bit more than the other. Plus, splurge a bit now & then, & up their dialog or back stories a bit, or work them into less traditional settings.

Engineering really needed somebody like that, as did the bridge, on top of the standard guest actors, like Ro, Barclay, & Guinan. It adds texture, like what DS9 had. They eventually figured it out. You use them in episodes like Genesis, where there's no guest actor.

I also would've liked seeing an arc with Nella Darren, that led to the episode where she leaves, instead of just a one shot, like that

I liked what they did with Lower Decks too. A spread out arc of those people could have been beneficial too, but like I said, it's all contractual. Notice how they didn't pay Guinan to show up in that episode, but suddenly, everybody's buddy waiter is around (Who I liked too) They were fishing in the wrong actor market. They needed more Patti Yasutake actors

They really should have made Barclay a regular cast member.
As I said earlier, he's my all-time favorite Trek character, but I'm not sure if he would work as a regular. Perhaps 30 or so episodes, but a regular? Every episode that's centered on him is either about how neurotic he is or about what a genius he is. They would just have to make him less and less neurotic as time went on (and I'd find it frustrating if he didn't have character development). Besides, recurring characters in the episodic Trek series tend to have a lot more character development than the regulars (Barclay, O'Brien).

I agree with Mojochi in that it would have been interesting to see Nella Darren in several episodes.

Sorry it took me so long to reply – I was off the computer most of the Easter weekend doing the family thing.

Picard/Vash on the other hand, sounds very interesting. I would have liked to see more of Vash.

:techman:Agreed. I think Vash would have added an absolutely fascinating dynamic.

Picard seems to have missed out on a lot of potential character foils...Tomalak, Vash, Madred...

:techman:All of these characters were intriguing and wonderful to watch. It would have been a lot of fun to see them more.

my new dishwasher was installed this week. Yea!!!

Finally!

:biggrin:The wonderful thing is it was delivered and installed in time for me to use it on Easter Sunday when I was hosting a big family dinner.

Hope you had a nice Easter.

Warmest Wishes,
Whoa Nellie

Who would I like to have seen more of? That's easy: Sela. I can't put into
words just how much or why she fascinates me. Maybe she fascinates me cause she's half-Romulan but she does fascinate me. I would've liked to seen more of her. Maybe seen her Romulan father.
That 2 part episode Unification that featured Spock made me want to see another half-Romulan female from the 23rd century in the 24th century...Lt. Saavik.

Troi's Mom.

I'm sorry, but she knew how to torture people until they begged for mercy. She was so funny!

It would have been great to have Sela as the Romulan usual, but not alway, opposite Picard. Have her learn to play on Picard's feeling toward any of the crew that he has lost. Do something about the uniform so Crosby doesn't look so much like a fatty.

Sonya Gomez, excuse me but my God she is hot.

Keiko O'Brian, I don't like her and found her to be irratating. Speaking of the character, not the actress. That why I would have wanted more of her on the show. I want people on the show(s) who I board on despising, makes things more interesting, maybe she could have been Data's other friend along with Geordi.

There could have been a great story about Miles finding out that after Data broke up with what's her name, he continued the "Human Relationship Experiance" by seeking solase in his friend Keiko's bed.

I agree. Fleshing out engineering in general may have helped to flesh out Geordi as a character as well. Geordi has never been a 3-dimensional character for me. Of course I would have loved to see more of Barclay as well.

I think it's a shame that K'Ehleyr was killed off after just two shows. She's such a strong character, and the only workable love interest for Worf.
