Oh, wait, hello! Definitely that part is speculation -- especially based on how Matalas structured massive conspiracies in 12 Moneys and his season of MacGyver (Season 4 -- which Jeri Ryan has a guest arc in).

It looks practical - something which Trek has often struggled with.

The Cage away team jackets, DS9 S5/FF uniforms, Ent uniforms all looked practical, durable, and like they would actually be developed for use. Arguements are also there for TOS/SNW uniforms and later season Disco where they are two piece "formal" uniforms - can't remember the right word but not fatigues and not dress uniform.

If I'm on a mission in differing conditions and where it is t exactly the bright lights of Fed HQ I want something like that jacket which will be suited to all situations
