Spock's character is overexposed?

Just seen the Pike teaser.

Did anyone notice that for almost all the teaser for each character Spock was in them. it is like he is everyone's best friend or something or has something personal going on with them.

I know Spock is a beloved character but I hope that was just a marketing tool for the show.

I hope Spock does not become the Spike of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer universe, where the writers felt they had to shove him into everyone's business and make him the star of the show at everyone's expense.

Part of the good will this show has going in is that it will do some character justice like Uhura, Number one, Chapel who were nothing more than side characters in TOS with no storyline.

I sure hope, Spock is just one of the crew member here than THE crew member of the show if you know what I mean.

It seems like at this point in his Star Fleet career, Spock is the Second Officer onboard the Enterprise.
Is it possible that part of the 2nd Officer's job is to actively be aware of the crew's morale and the best way to do that is to interact with all of them.

Also, could it be that Pike gave him that job in order to familiarize Spock with peoples emotions.
(Una probably pushed for it as well)

Love Spock. I'm curious what they'll do with him, looks like they're being very loose with continuity (TOS: Never melded with a human before, hadn't seen T'Pring since he was 7) so I'm sure they can take him lots of interesting places. He's Trek's most iconic character ever, he won't be background scenery.

All of the TOS main cast are bordering on over exposed. Third casting for Disco/SNW is the absolute limit beyond which it should not happen, and then only carefully and preferably sparingly.

A) We don't know that he's melding with La'an in that snippet. He could be helping her forget some traumatic memory or any number of other telepathic shenanigans that aren't a mind meld.

B) The way they get around his not having "seen" her is by having them interact over telepathic long distance ala Burnham/Sarek. Surely that doesn't technically count as "seeing" someone, right? :p

THE crew member of the show if you know what I mean.

You mean, like he always has been? The way he was in TOS, in ST:TMP, in ST:TWOK, and so on? The way that TNG made a MASSIVE deal out of bringing him on for a two-part episode? The way that the whole movie relaunch was just about written around Nimoy's appearance as Spock in the 2009 movie?

Like all of that?

He's Spock. He made that series.

Shatner did pretty good, too.

P.S. - Loved Spike, thought Angel was a droner. ;)

Well..., We did see him without a shirt on in the Season-1 teaser, so I guess technically, you're not wrong.

Also, Spock had his hand ON TOP of La'an's head, not the usual way we've seen the Vulcan Mind Meld done.
