Because I had to put with jokes like that when I was a kid in school and now that I'm an adult I'm tired of them. It’s a joke. Why so sensitive?

It takes immensely less work to insult a book than it takes to write one.

Ok. No jocular ribbing. You’re on the snowflake list. If I can be bothered to remember who you are, I will no longer address or respond to you. I apologize for my lame attempt at humour.
Actually, I won’t post here anymore. I expected mature discussion. You’re just a bunch of fan-boy geeks and nerdettes. Basements indeed!

You live in your mom’s basement? (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!)

I hear you - I can't stand living with people who aren't family (and only small parts of my family too!)I have to admit, I was a bit embarrassed admit at first that I live with my mom, but once I did everybody was cool about it.
Just for a bit of context, the reason I live with my mom is because I have social anxiety and my mom is the only person I'm comfortable enough to live with. I tried to live with strangers in the university dorms for a couple semesters, but I just couldn't handle it.

Not sure you've mentioned it.I have been Tuckerized in several Trek novels. It is a thrill to me, but something that only a few people ever pick up on. (Well, I guess I tell too many people.)
I'm 32. The dorm thing was back when I got out of high school in the late '00s.Pal, I got separated from my wife during Quarantine and have been at my dad’s for the last three months. My sister, who was a lawyer and is now a nurse, has been here for two years. Where you hang your hat doesn’t count as to whether or not you’re a success. But, it also sounds like you’re a kid with this talk about the dorms. So, when you’re old enough and have a career going, get your own place without any roomies. You’ll like that even better than living with mom!
