With the premiere a little over a week away (Jan. 24), I thought it was time to start a proper thread for the new season.
Duchovny and Anderson are out in force promoting the new episodes, with Anderson appearing on the Talk yesterday and Corden's show tonight and both Duchovny & Anderson showing up on Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday night.
Personally, I can't wait to see these new episodes. New episodes written & directed by Chris Carter, Glen Morgan and James Wong, but also a rare episode by the brilliant Darin Morgan! With the exception of Vince Gilligan's absence (Better Call Saul season two, you better be worth it!), I can't imagine a better all-star writers' room for this show.
The X-Files is my favorite TV show of all time. I hope this mini-season does well in the ratings (and leads to more X-Files in the future -- in any form or medium) but it doesn't matter much to me. These six episodes are an unexpected and amazing gift that I never imagined would exist. If six is all we get, I'm more than fine with that.
Anyone want to place predictions for the new season? Ratings-wise? Worst episode? Best episode*?
*My best episode pick has to be "Mulder and Scully meet the Were-Monster," because Darin Morgan is a mad genius.
