Your Top 5 Scenes of House MD

Joe Washington

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
With the show marching towards its impending end, which scenes of House so far do you consider to be your top 5? If you can post video links to those scenes, that would be great.

Not sure I can pick individual scenes but I'll attempt to list some highlights

#1- That whole sequence with Foreman slowly losing his marbles in the isolation chamber (isolation chamber may not be the right word here ... decontamination chamber? thingy?)

2. Three stories

3. Closer of season 5, or was it 4? Where Amber "returned", anyway, and then that whole reveal at the end of the episode.

4. Either the episode where House was shot, or maybe that thread they did in season 3 where that ex-Cop was after him.

5. House in Cuddy's office helping her with her shot (chose because it's the best "shipper" scene I guess)

Honorable mention to the scene where House was operating on his own leg in a bathtub ... that was pretty intense.

Hmm...off the top of my head, in no particular order;

After Amber dies and Wilson is thinking about leaving, House admonishes him. They're comparing physical pain to emotional pain, House's leg to Wilson losing Amber, and they're talking over one another, ending with... House - "You don't know what it's like..." Wilson - "...Neither do you."

House is interviewing for new fellows, and the "cool" guy comes in, with long hair and a tattoo, and he says to House; "I thought you'd be cool with rebellion." House dresses him down about how he's not rebelling, he's doing what everyone else does, and that the people who really don't care are the Asian kids with pocket protectors studying in the library 12 hours a day. He then admits to someone right afterward that even that's wrong...those kids are just doing it due to cultural pressures.

When House gets Wilson high on meth and Wilson does the breast exam.

Three Stories

Many, many moments with Chase. You can often see him in the background, reacting to House's jokes as if he thinks they're serious, or checking out a hot girl that walks by, or even things completely out of focus. Jesse Spencer is the master of background hilarity.

I'm kinda' surprised there aren't more responses to this thread. Trekker4747...I'm waiting to hear your thoughts! :)

"Wilson's Heart." House and the team have done their damnedest to figure out how to save Amber, only to discover that because of the drug she was taking and a rupture in her liver, there is nothing they can do for her; she is going to die within hours. The entire sequence -- from House re-living the bus crash, to the montage over the song "Passing Afternoon" -- is just wonderful. Terrible, but wonderful.

There are a lot but off the Top of my head I seem to remember the Dramatic moments best....

The two parter Amber dies episode.

House discovering that his sleeping with Cuddy was a drug hallucination

House Vs. Tritter

Episode from the first season called DNR with the Jazz Singer.
House: "I'm in Pain."
John Henry Giles: "Aren't we all..."

Finally the scene I think sums up the House character best is this scene with Moriarty at the end of season 2.
Moriarty: "You think that the only truth that matters is that truth can be measured. Good intentions don't count. What's in your heart doesn't count. Caring doesn't count. But a man's life can be measured by how many tears are shed when he dies. Just because you can't measure them, just because you don't wanna measure them, doesn't mean it's not real. And even if I'm wrong, you're still miserable. Did you really think that your life's purpose was to sacrifice yourself and get nothing in return? No...you believe that there is no purpose, to anything, even the lives you save you dismiss. You turn the one decent thing in your life and you taint it, strip it of all meaning. You're miserable for nothing...I don't know why you'd wanna live."

This is basically House talking to himself. Great scene.
