Exactly. The new MS. MARVEL comic is not "marketing religion" to anybody. It's just part of her background, and the comic does a good job of showing that, as with most communities, some Muslims are more religious than others. Trust me, every issue does not end with Ms. Marvel delivering a quote from the Koran or whatever. Most of the time, she's coping with boy problems, and school problems, and family problems, and giant mutant frogs attacking her neighborhood . . . .
Hell, I'm a lifelong atheist and I find the comic charming and often delightful.
And on other fronts: yes, there are a plethora of ongoing BUFFY comics out there. Besides the main BUFFY titles, there have also been spin-off comics and mini-series for Willow, Faith, Angel, Spike, Giles, etc. The Buffy-verse is still going strong at your local comic book shop.
