Damn, that's really disappointing. Just a mini-episode instead of a full episode (let alone all of the missing episodes in the serial) feels superfluous and kind of pointless.

Well, hopefully it's just a teaser for a full-length animation to come later.
Weird. If it's not a tease for something longer, why even do it at all?
diankra, I'm glad you commented. While I wouldn't go by unsourced comments by most posters, I definitely have found you to be a reliable, informed source! Please continue to share--although with necessary caveats as needed!Well, true enough. Maybe shouldn't have commented. But maybe helpful as I've got to be reasonably sure.
Off the record isn't always unreliable. Though it can be.
Nope, there's an additional note at the end of the article that specifically rules that out. It's a stand alone 10 minute animation that might be included as a special but it's not part of a project to fully animate Wheel.Well, hopefully it's just a teaser for a full-length animation to come later.
What the fuck does that even mean, part of a special?
We are delighted to be joined by a number of special guests including the Indiana Jones of lost archival television Philip Morris, who will be presenting some of the rare television gems he’s recently unearthed, including missing episodes of Morecambe and Wise, Sid James’s sitcom Citizen James and children’s television favourite Basil Brush including the only surviving live performance of The Kinks performing their hit Days.
Why is everything regarding missing episodes, animated recons and DVD's with Doctor Who always shrouded with secrecy and slight incompetence? Dang.
Yeah, at this point, I'm just tired of the waiting. When will come a time where we can watch the Hartnell and Troughton seasons in sequence, and enjoy them fully?

You do know that Voyager 2 would have to travel FTL to catch up with the TV broadcasts? At that point, the energy from the transmissions would be so weak that it couldn't detect them anyway. You're talking about 50 light years depending on the story! When will Voyager 2 be far enough out that it catches up with the original transmissions?
And does it have a VCR? Let’s say....200 hundred years just to be safe. We could develop FTL drive and do it that way. Might take less time.
