(WIP) 1:1 Star Trek Beyond USS Enterprise-A in Minecraft.

Hello! Since I completed my 1:1 version of the Enterprise Refit seen in the first half of Beyond back in early September I have been eager to start working on a new project. So for the past few weeks, I have been working on a scale version of the Enterprise-A. I plan to also give this ship a full interior which I will attempt to design myself given that we have not seen this ship on screen yet. Thoughts?

WOW! I don't like this ship much in general (or any of the Kelvinverse Enterprise variants, for that matter), but this build is absolutely stunning! Did you build this in Creative Mode, or is there some block converter out there that takes a higher-poly mesh and turn it into MineCraft format?

I tried doing a 1:1 WWII Yamato many years ago, back when MineCraft was still free - before it was bought by Microsoft and monetized - but never got beyond laying down the waterline. This is all that remains of my old project:

I am building it in creative but I am using a tool called Worldedit which lets me place down lots of blocks at once and can also copy/paste and mirror sections. There is a tool that lets you place 3d models into Minecraft yes. A few years ago in fact I had previously built a scale Enterprise-A and here is a render of that version.

But after I completed it I wasn't really happy with the shape I created because at the time A.Klemm (Nightfever)'s 3D Model wasn't available for reference. I have been wanting to create a custom interior for it for a while but I also wanted to update the Hull to match his model. Hence, I learned how to import 3D models into the game and after a bit of tidying up around the imported model, I began work on the exterior details :)

Oh wow nice! I still remember those days haha, yeah Microsoft really monetised the Windows 10 version but fortunately they did not touch the Java edition which has always been my favourite edition.
