I'll go with Tyler Hoechin. It's not perfect (I don't like the moon boots) but it's modern and I like the gold fasteners on the cape.

Cavill's outfit is similar but it's not as vibrant and it's too shiny and textured. Looks like sequins from a distance.

For me, Reeve's outfit was the gold standard for decades in terms of putting a superhero costume directly on screen. It may be simple by today's standards, but still awesome. I liked Reeves' too, except for the loose cape. Not a fan.

Anyhoo, Henry Cavill wore a slightly different costume in BvS than in MoS, and It's probably the best looking Superman costume to date. I used to like Brandon Routh's suit as well, but I can't say it aged well.

My opinion still stands, it didn't age well. That said, I honestly don't think it looks bad, just dated. A blend between it and the BvS suit would be perfect, IMO.

Honorary mention to Melissa Benoist. She is not Superman, but close enough and her costume is classic and modern at the same time.

The suit in the fortress was the Superman Returns suit, but Welling never wore it. The most you see him wear is that blue t-shirt looking deal he wears for the shirt-rip final shot.

Christopher Reeve

Its a classic design, and it definitely has aged better then a suit like Brandon Routh's. Dean Cain's just looked cheap, and I had the material look and muted colors of Snyder's Superman suit. Hoechlin's looks ok, and definitely a better "modern update" then the Cavil suit, but its not as good as the classic design.
