To be honest, I don't think Love & Romance should be Trek's focus.

If it can also do that well while doing Trek's core business (whatever that may be, exactly), that's a nice added bonus. If not, no problem, we have countless productions focusing on that (for example those Korean and Chinese dramas?).

Yes, part of Star Trek's success is that it is a flexible show in which many kinds of stories can be told.
I wanted to select all of them except "children's". I don't really feel it's worthwhile to try to narrow the choices down to two. (Why doesn't it say in the poll instructions, vote for up to two if that's what you're allowed to do?)
Why "Childrens"...Just my two cents. Not trying to persuade you, this just popped into my head.

"Children" centered episodes that I have enjoyed many like the one where Worf's cadet died and her son who was also widower was great as Worf took him under his wing and even tied his family to his in a ritual of orphans.

Then the one where a devastated child wants to have no emotions, and Data gives him a bit of a makeover and Troi suggested to let it happen as she saw it may be therapeutic temporarily. He acted like an android until he could cope with his emotions.

And Picard, when the Enterprise goes haywire with no turbo lifts, he leads a bunch of kids around and sings a song that they can all sing together to keep them inspired and comforted.

I can't say much about Wesley that stands out except that one episode where Bev returns from being away and replaces Pulaski and having to deal with that. Feeling abandoned. I thought it was pretty on point and realistic and some pretty good acting by Weaton.

AND I don't even usually like children oriented anything. Well, maybe when I was a child. But even then they had to have some quality.

I read "children's" as meaning "programmes aimed at children". You seem to be interpreting it as "programmes with children in them". Although there's overlap, they aren't the same thing.

I see much of Star Trek as being "family friendly" but, until Prodigy, never specifically aimed at children.

Well, those episodes would be good for kids. Thats what I was thinking, anyway.*shrungs*

Circumstantial evidence: my son watched all the episodes of TNG focused on children with intense focus. They were not his favorites, but his attention was much greater than I think would be for many adults. Children need stories that explore vulnerability and danger according to Robert Sapolsky. Even stories about being orphaned are a means of exploring defenselessness and youth.

I think Star Trek can do all of these things well, in the hands of a capable team of writers and actors.

That said, I think they do "Adventure" and "Thriller" best. My favorite episodes and movies across the board almost all fit into those categories. The other stuff that I like (War, Comedy, Drama, Mystery) is inconsistent. Sometimes they knock it out of the park, other times it falls short.

I don't think episodes featuring orphaned kids would be enjoyable entertainment for children.
You don't think TNG is kid friendly? As someone who has watched darker tales aimed at kids like 'Secret of Nymh,' 'The Dark Crystal' and 'The Neverending story.' I have to disagree. And I would not even put them there with those episodes. :p
