What do you think about "Lost" all these years later?

I liked it still when I watched it again a few years ago. I think it holds up and I even like the final episode. I will talk more about it later.

I liked it well enough. They kind of lost me during season 2, so I was never a huge "OH MY GOD!" watcher for the rest of the run, and (consequently?) I enjoyed the finale.

I am generally not a big fan of the mystery box approach though. I prefer situations with potential for growth as opposed to mysteries that attempt to go for years without having a concrete answer in place from the start.

For me the mystery was fun for being a mystery. I'm not sure I needed all the answers. It helps that I liked most of the characters. The show was really good at pulling out real human emotion I felt. I know I cried or felt like crying alot when watching the show.

I love it, but I think people who go into it to appreciate it as a character study with sci-fi elements will enjoy it a lot more than people who go into it looking for mysteries that will be solved.

Though I always summarize it as: love it or hate it, you'll certainly have a lot to say about it by the end.

Because I don't necessarily watch tv shows with the goal of having much to say about them afterward.

I primarily watch tv shows to be entertained.

I see. I may have misinterpreted you. When you said "have a lot to say" I thought you meant as in having opinions rather than literally sitting down and having a conversation about it. My apologies.

Me personally, I've literally talked about Friends and The Simpsons a lot more than I ever did Lost. :)

I never got into friends. I watched it for maybe the 1st and 2nd season somewhat but got bored and never watched it again. I think I left when the monkey left.

Jason

I watched it as an opportunity to relax my brain after work, though even then some episodes involved pretty deeply stupid developments.

Same here. Some shows get sever rewatches and "Lost" has always been one of those, especially when talking about newer stuff that wasn't first created back in the 90's or earlier.

Jason

Still my favorite show ever. I saw a lot of tarot symbolism in it, but that could be because I'm completely tarot-centric!
