Voyager DVD's

I'm sure most of the people on this board already have them, but I finally broke down and bought the first two seasons of Voyager on DVD...and am I glad I did. Barnes and Noble was having a sale and I couldn't resist. I was having so much fun this yesterday watching the DVD's. I only got through the first 5 episodes. I'm going to savor  these and try not to watch them to fast. That's all, just wanted to share my excitment.

No problem. Enjoy. :)

I bought just about all the DVD sets used off Ebay, and it worked out just fine for me. I vastly prefer watching the show this way and avoiding commercials. Like you said though, the temptation is to go through all the episodes too fast.

April more than a year ago Amazon had them all on sale for $36 each--half the NEW, first time ever under $100 dollar price--I went crazy and bought all 7 seasons and watched them over the course of 3 months or so!

Enjoy! I'd only ever seen a season or two when the show was on, and a few after that, and it was all fresh and new for me--good times!

I've gotten all but years one and seven of the DVDs and when i got my first set at Hastings I literally jumped up and down for JOY when I saw that Chakotay was interviewed! :D Plus I watched my favorite episodes of that year as well.

I actually managed to get mine from Australia in a sexy Borg cube XD

Unfortunately the collectors value is dented as the plaque came dented... but as it was from Australia and a gift I try not to let it get to me but -sob-

I very like that Chakotay interview. He`s so hot  and funny there.

I'd missed part of three, and just about all of four through seven until I bought the DVDs, so most of it was new to me as well.

The box art looks like The Transformers logo of the Decepticons...
Does it have the same special features? in NTSC?

and then the standard:
Star Trek Voyager: Seasons 1-7 (DVD - 2004)
Amazon.com Buy new: $259.99
I would think with some Amazon coupon or sale I could get it $40-50. cheaper.

I think those first two links are bootlegs.

I managed to get new individual sets of Amazon for between £13 and £18 a season. Did VOY get a region 1 re-release? Over here it was brand new packaging but exactly the same content, just cheaper.

Did VOY get a region 1 re-release?
Not that I'm aware of. The amazon.com link says 2004.

Thanks for the heads up about bootlegs. I'm not interested in piracy and prefer legitimate CD/DVD/Blu-rays.
I agree to a fair price even though Paramount double and triple dips the Star Trek fans and with higher prices...

Avoid anything that you know is too good to be true, especially if the description mentions that it is shipping from a foreign country or that the cover is different. You know that the complete series in new condition will run you at least $200 from a legitimate source.

Careful! They are addictive. When I was deep into them, I watched up to 6 episodes a day... I'd call that pathetic, but I enjoyed it so.

You do have to be careful. My mother-in-law just recently bought some all four seasons of the original Dr. Who from Amazon and it was shipped from China. She says the quality isn't as good but that it isn't bad either, so we think she got a bootleg version.

You're right, that is pathetic...it's a good thing work prevents me from watching 6 a day. ;) :guffaw: Seriously, I could sit down and watch 6 easily. As it stands now, I get home from work, put on my comfy clothes, grab a cold drink, pop in a DVD of Voyager and sit back and relax. I guess it's a good thing I only have the first two seasons right now. After I finish with the second season of Voyager I'm going to raid my mother-in-law's DVD library and grab Stargate Atlantis. I love having whole seasons on DVD's.
