I could be, easily. I got into World of Warcraft though, and that has helped a lot. It's not just that it distracts me when my husband is off playing games, but also that I understand the game. I have an idea of how much is too much, when I can bug him or when he's doing something that will take a long time, etc. Plus it's fun to play together, honestly.

Maybe it's odd to let him take a day on a weekend and play videogames all day but if such an innocent thing makes him that happy, I'm happy to let him enjoy it.

I'm completely horrible in other ways so I'm sure it all balances out.

I can't handle anything more complicated than Pac-Man so I'm in no danger of playing online games.

It actually took a senior nurse at a job I had a few years ago to teach me how to play that sodding card game. Now I'm good at it.

I have a friend who complains that her boyfriend will prefer to play World of Warcraft instead of take her out. That's not the first time I've heard a girl complain about that, either. I don't get it, I guess these guys just take their girlfriends for granted. I suppose it'd be even easier to do so if you're married. Seems like a quick way to become single, if you ask me.

Just be thankful it's not Civilization (any version), blab - he'll be lost to you for ever.

Or SimCity 4, that's just as bad.

Seriously, though, it is tough trying to balance out playtime with a significant other. After a week a work you want to play but you have a partner now so compromise is the order of the day.

I have the best way ever to keep one busy, take a bunch of post it notes and make snowflakes.
