TOS Playing on Pluto TV...

TOS has just started playing on the STAR TREK channel, Channel 270. It seemed to start yesterday morning.

They are the remastered episodes, full length. It appears to be airdate order, not production order.

I heard they were doing this, but I didn't know when. There is supposed to be a channel called MORE STAR TREK coming that will air DS9, but I couldn't find it. Might be happening later on.

Anyway, I thought I'd share this... currently watching "THE GALILEO SEVEN" now. One of my personal favorites.

I will check that. I usually watch Flipper and The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis on Pluto. I also use the streaming service Frndly TV which has the Heroes & Icons channel whick has a Strek Trek block almost every night (TOS at 8PM, TNG at 9PM, DS9 at 10PM, VOY at 11PM and ENT at 12AM). It also allows you to record shows. I generally only watch TOS (they just started Season 1 again).

There's also another channel that does sci-fi Saturday Night that includes Kolchak: The Night Stalker, Lost in Space, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Time Tunnel and The Invaders. Good stuff!

I didn't know about Pluto TV. It must be like NBC's Peacock site. I'll have to check it out.
While Peacock is a pay service (I use primarily to watch 1980s-1990s wrestling) check out NBC.com as they have both The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman and Kolchak: The Night Stalker all for free and, I think, without commercials.

Me-TV did the Sci Fi Saturday Nights and a lot of those shows make the rotation. Although I'm not sure of The Invaders since I haven't had cable in a few years.

It seems that once Pluto finished airing all the TOS episodes, they have not repeated them again. I don't know if they are going through all of TNG again and then doing TOS, but it's rather frustrating since the STAR TREK channel has played TNG for several years straight now.

(Don't get me wrong... I love TNG. It got me into scifi. But if you are called the 'STAR TREK channel', you need to air more than one series... especially when there are over 800 episodes across 11 shows and 13 movies under your belt.)

Not only that, but anytime I run into Pluto in an embedded ad (usually on TV Line, my choice for TV news aggregation), it's playing one of the same three episodes of TNG: "Evolution," "Home Soil," and "Legacy." And the first two have basically the same plot!

The "H&I" (Heroes & Icons) channel should rightfully be called the "Star Trek" channel.

Sunday through Friday, 8pm to 1am they air all five of the original Star Trek series, in order, uncut, and in the case of TOS and TNG, the remastered versions.

"A TASTE OF ARMAGEDDON" is on Pluto now.

It seems about every week or so, the STAR TREK channel goes from TNG to TOS.
The pattern seems to be that they do the full seven season run of TNG in order, then do the full three season run of TOS in order, and then do TNG seasons 3 through 7 followed by another run of all three seasons of TOS.

I'm watching TOS S3g Day of the Dove, on Pluto's Star Trek Channel 270; and it seems a new channel appeared called More Trek 271 that's playing DS9.

That must have just appeared today, because I was looking for the DS9 channel yesterday.

Excellent!!!

What DS9 episode is playing now?
