Tom Petty on the Bridge...which Bridge?

Saw this AMAZING photo today :) The date says 1989 but this looks the the bridge from movies I to IV, not V and VI. I was under the impression that the original movie Bridge set had been highly modified by 1989 (season 3 of TNG) and would not have still had this equipment. Can anyone give more insight into where/when this was taken?

Also not that Meyer's "No Smoking" signs, if present, were being ignored, lol.

I don't know if I know what you are referring to by "opt in forum." But maybe someone has seen and can give the highlights.
It's a special part of the TrekBBS that you have to sign up for. Kind of a no holds barred place for talking about "sensitive" topics.
What I said was pretty much the highlight.

That confirms my theory that Tom Petty has actually been transported to the future and is now a crewman on the Enterprise.
Not to mention that he also has a new career as singer, touring the Federation.

It's like the musician Sonny Clemonds said in the TNG episode "The Neutral Zone" after being waken up by the Enterprise crew from his cryostatic sleep: "Well, one good thing is, since everybody's forgotten everything I ever did, it'll all be brand spanking new. I'll be a bigger hit than I ever was."

The same for Tom! ;)

Looks like the STII/III Bridge. TMP bridge had seated station(s) between the turboliftfs, the II/III bridge did not.

Tom would be seated on the right side (conn or nav?) with the center seat behind him.

Tom Petty turns up in some funny places... he was a post-apocalyptic freedom fighter in "The Postman". One of the best things about that movie.
